Gun Bounty Program

Gun Bounty Artwork - 1-Gun - 1-Arrest - 1-GrandIn 2006 the JSO rolled out the Gun Bounty program, and through the generosity of the business community, was able to embark on an aggressive public awareness campaign. The program promotes the message "See It, Say It, Stop It" and is focused on getting illegal guns off the street and arresting the people who carry and use them. All this is done anonymously, through tips to our partner, First Coast Crime Stoppers.

On Thursday, May 23, 2013, JSO and these community partners announced that the Gun Bounty marketing campaign will return throughout Duval County. In addition, there will be four Gun Buyback events.

The first Gun Buyback was held on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Maceo Elks Lodge #8 located at 712 W. Duval Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202. Please click here to learn more.

The second Gun Buyback was held on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 at Arlington Baptist Church located at 6009 Arlington Rd. Please click here for more information.

The third Gun Buyback was held on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014 at the Evangel Temple Assembly of God located at 5755 Ramona Blvd. Please click here to learn more.
