Violent Crimes/Narcotics Task Force (VCNTF)

The Violent Crimes/Narcotics Task Force (VCNTF) is a North Florida High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (NFHIDTA) initiative that targets violent offenders who have ties to illegal narcotics activities. It is staffed by various local, state and federal agencies. The task force currently is made up of detectives from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit, Homicide Unit, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and Drug Enforcement Administration.

In addition to the above, the VCNTF also participates in Operation Roadblock, which is also a HIDTA initiative targeting violent offenders, firearms and narcotics traveling upon local and state roadways.
