On-Site Assessment
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office will be hosting assessors from the COMMISSION on ACCREDITATION for LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES beginning:
  • Monday, December 11, 2017 and continuing until Wednesday, December 13, 2017.
The assessors will be examining JSO’s policies and procedures to verify compliance with 485 standards as the agency seeks to earn re-accreditation.
Public comment will be held, in person, on Monday, December 11th at 6:00 p.m. at the Balis Community Center – adjacent to the San Marco Library on LaSalle Street. Free parking is available. Assessors will also be available by phone to speak with the public interested in making comment on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 1-3 p.m. by calling (904) 630-1607  (posted Thursday, November 9, 2017)

In accordance with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Agreement with the U. S. Dept. of Homeland Security/Immigration and Customs Enforcement, notice is hereby given of the annual meeting of the 287(g) Steering Committee.

The Committee will meet on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chief’s Conference Room of the Police Memorial Building at 501 E. Bay Street. A photo ID is required for entry.
