JACKSONVILLE, FL (February 26, 2018) - On Saturday, March 3, 2018, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office along with the Zones 5 and 6 Sheriff's Watch Advisors will host a Safety Fair at the River City Marketplace. The event will take place form 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Local law enforcement, health and public safety agencies will have a wide variety of safety exhibits, displays and interactive demonstrations setup at the Safety Fair.
At the event, citizens will have the opportunity to turn in their unused or outdated medications to JSO detectives for proper disposal. Citizens that are unable to drop off medications at the Safety Fair can bring them to the collection box at the Forsyth Street entrance of the Police Memorial Building (501 E. Bay Street), 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
