Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

JACKSONVILLE, FL (February 2, 2012) - The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was actively looking for Monique N. Hibbert, 20 years old. On January 9, 2012 at 7:25 p.m., the suspect entered Amy’s Beauty Supply located at 955 University Boulevard, a knife was displayed, and an armed robbery was committed. The suspect got away with eight packages of hair weave.

On Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 3:15 p.m. a vehicle she was riding in was stopped on Monument Road by police because of a shoplifting incident that had just occurred at the TJ Maxx and Shoe Carnival located on Atlantic Boulevard. Stolen shirts, shoes, and socks were located inside the vehicle.

The four individuals that were riding in the car, including Monique Hibbert were arrested for shoplifting. Monique Hibbert was also arrested for her outstanding warrant for Armed Robbery for hair weave.

The suspect is currently in jail with no bond.
