Self defense techniques that are taught during the program should only be used when it is not possible to otherwise safely escape from the threat of criminal activity.

Participants in the program are, by reserving a place in the program, representing to Winn-Dixie and the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and the program trainers that they suffer from no physical or mental disability or condition that could led to or result in injury during the training.

Participants further agree that they will not use the techniques taught during the program in any unlawful or unprovoked situation.
