Police Involved Shooting - Club Aqua

JACKSONVILLE, FL (February 12, 2012) - On Sunday, February 12, 2012 around 2:10 a.m. two officers were working in an off duty capacity, in full police uniform, at Club Aqua located 11000 Beach Boulevard.

The officers received information that a suspect was in the parking lot with a gun.  The officers located the suspect, Nicholas Samuel Underwood, 24 years old with a gun walking back to the club.  He was given numerous commands by two officers to drop the gun.  The suspect refused all commands.  At that time, Officer Michael D. Peterson shot the suspect multiple times with his AR-15 rifle.  The suspect was deceased at the scene.
