This information is provided by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office to inform Jacksonville residents and visitors about construction and/or special events that could affect traffic patterns. Links to event information are provided when available.
The JSO's Special Events Calendar includes events where the event sponsor or coordinator has been granted a Temporary Road Closure Permit or if the event is a regularly occurring one, such as a Jacksonville Jaguars home football game. New Courthouse Construction Road Closures and Detour Information:
- Monroe St. will be closed between Broad St. (to the west) and Julia St. (to the east).
- Motorists may utilize Forsyth St. (one-way westbound) or Church St. (one-way eastbound) as detour routes.
- Electronic message boards were put into place on Monday, May 11 to notify motorists of the impending construction activity and detour signage will be posted accordingly. The road will be reopened once construction is complete.
