Current Situation:
Citizen safety while on Duval County roads is of the utmost concern to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO).

Traffic enforcement is the primary tool used by JSO to ensure a safe driving environment. Currently all six zones have a Traffic Unit that consists of marked units, motorcycles and undercover vehicles used to enforce traffic laws. In addition, the DUI Enforcement Unit is active city-wide.
