Central Records Section
Effective April 1, 2012 fingerprint services will only be available at the Police Memorial Building located at 501 E. Bay Street or at one of the locations on the FDLE Authorized Fingerprint Providers List.
The Central Records Section is led by Assistant Chief Larry Schmitt, and consists of three separate areas of responsibility: Records, Identification, and Copy Center.
Records incorporates seven multi-functional integrated units: the Alarm Control, Records, Public Counter, Data Input, Traffic Citations, Warrants, and Validations. Please use the links below to learn more information about each unit.
The Central Records Section also responds to public records requests. These requests,along with the appropriate fee, may be made by mail or in person during regular business hours.

Identification consists of the Identification/Automated Fingerprint Identification System Unit and the Document Imaging Unit. These units operate on a twenty-four hour, seven day a week schedule and support department personnel within the Sheriff's Office as well as the Duval County Court System and other criminal justice agencies.
