The Jacksonville Film & Television Job and Business Creation Program is a performance based program structured to attract high wage unique film and television productions opportunities to Jacksonville that will hire area professionals and purchase goods and services from local businesses.
The program utilizes different metrics than those applied to programs within the Office of Economic Development’s Public Investment Policy, and will be managed and facilitated by the Office of Sports & Entertainment.
The program utilizes a sliding scale based on the total qualified expenditures, following similar standards used by the State Office of Film & Entertainment (OFE), a division of the Department of Economic Opportunity. The OFE does not use a ROI model in their application evaluation. However, they utilize a broader set of qualified expenditure criteria. Their program is based upon meeting minimum thresholds on qualified expenditures and hiring of Florida residents and first come-first serve priority.
