English for Speakers of other Languages (ESOL)
 - The English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) office monitors the progress of our students into the English language. We have 13 in-school centers specializing in serving ESOL students in those schools as well as those transported from neighboring schools.

DUAL LANGUAGE PROGRAM - The mission of the Dual Language Program is to empower students to become bilingual, biliterate,  and bicultural individuals who will be successful members of a global society.

AVID PROGRAM - AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a college readiness system for elementary through postsecondary that is designed to increase school wide learning and performance. The AVID College Readiness System (ACRS) accelerates student learning, uses research based methods of effective instruction, provides meaningful and motivational professional learning, and acts as a catalyst for systemic reform and change.  Although AVID serves all students, it focuses on the least served students in the academic middle.

Magnet Program - A wide range of specialized educational programs are available throughout elementary, middle, and high schools. While receiving instruction in traditional subject areas, magnet students have an opportunity to explore and develop their unique interests and talents in such areas as math, science, the arts, language immersion, culinary arts, aviation, law/legal professions, technology, and public service.

Scholarships

Achieving the Dream Scholarships A joint scholarship between the Mayor’s Hispanic American Advisory Board and the First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
National Merit Scholarship Corporation by State Farm These are one-time, nonrenewable awards of $2,500 made to high school seniors who qualify as Finalists in the annual National Merit Scholarship Program. The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) believes that the country prospers when all Americans have access to the opportunities a college education can afford. As the nation’s leading Hispanic higher education fund, HSF works to address the barriers that keep many Latinos from earning a college degree.
First Generation Scholarship Program at UNF The University of North Florida participates in Florida's First Generation Matching Grant Program. More than 300 UNF students were awarded First Generation scholarships in 2006, thanks to UNF fundraising efforts and an appropriation from the Florida Legislature.
