JaxReady Web

All Touch-enabled Mobile Devices

How can I view the mobile website?

In your web browser, navigate to JaxReady Web.

What is the difference between the native phone applications (iPhone and Android) and the mobile website?

The native application will install to your phone, displaying an icon in your applications. It will use your phone's GPS to determine your evacuation zone.

The mobile-ready website must be viewed through your mobile device's web browser. It will not install software to your phone. It will use your internet connection point (WIFI or cell phone tower) to determine your evacuation zone. As such, it may not be as accurate as the native application's location detection.

Will I be notified of important alerts?

Currently, you have to check the application for updates. Push notifications are scheduled for a future upgrade.

My GPS isn't working.  What should I do?

  1. Make sure GPS is enabled on your phone. The default on some devices is "off."
  2. Tap on the message "Your location was not found. Tap to try again."

I get the message "Information is not available." What should I do?

Make sure you have data access (cell phone signal or WIFI), then click on a different tab (Home, EOC, Weather, Fire, or Help) to refresh the data.
