The Supervisor of Elections is a constitutional office whose mission is to convey the voice of the people through fair and accurate elections with transparency and integrity.
The Elections Office is responsible for providing services for registering to vote, educating the community about the voting process, maintaining a statewide voter registration database, and conducting local, state, and federal elections throughout the City of Jacksonville including the municipalities of Atlantic Beach, Baldwin, Jacksonville Beach, and Neptune Beach.
Jerry Holland is the Supervisor of Elections. He was elected Supervisor of Elections in 2005 and has served in that capacity for six years.
The Supervisor of Elections Office has 33 full time employees, and employs more than 3,900 temporary employees to conduct an election.
The Elections Office is comprised of the following divisions:
- Voter Registration – provides services to register voters and maintains voter registration records.
- Education/Training - provides training and voter education for poll workers and voters.
- Candidates/Records – provides candidates with guidelines and directions for operating a campaign and maintains election-related records for the Elections Office.
- Informational Technology – maintains election equipment, election software, and voter registration database.
