Fleet Management

This 127-person division is responsible for the maintenance and care of more than 5,400 pieces of equipment and fuel (for the city and JEA). It provides paint and body services, air conditioning and electrical services, small engine repairs, welding and machine shop services, as well as repairs and maintenance of hydraulic systems in a wide variety of vehicles. It also maintains city fuel sites and mobile off-site refueling. With budget consciousness as its goal, Fleet Management routinely evaluates the services it provides and, if it cannot compete with the private sector, outsources certain services.

This year, the Fleet Management Division will provide more than 7.3 million gallons of fuel for the city, independent authorities and state agencies.
