Budget

The Budget Division has the responsibility to compile and review departmental budget estimates and other data necessary to prepare a recommendation for the mayor’s proposed budget. The division also works to compile data, review and make recommendations to the proposed five-year Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The division publishes the Annual Budget once it has been adopted by the Jacksonville City Council. It also publishes the Budget in Brief, a high-level overview of the fiscal year Annual Budget.

The division provides quarterly projections of revenues and expenditures to both the mayor and the City Council. It assists other departments and divisions in evaluating their performance measures. Budget staff works with the administration and departments to ensure the goals are generally quantifiable and that annual objectives are measurable and time specific.  There are 11 employees in this division.

2011 Budget:
The Budget Division’s budget is $1,116,222.
