Community Development Division

This division rehabilitates and redevelops blighted areas and provides services to low- and moderate-income residents of Jacksonville. Activities undertaken by this division include providing services to seniors and at-risk youth, rehabilitating community centers and parks and improving infrastructure. Homeless prevention and facilities and services for homeless people are also provided. This division works with public and private non-profit agencies to achieve its goals and facilitate fair and equal housing for low- and moderate-income citizens.
 
2011 Budget:
In 2011, the Community Development Division’s budget of $7,396,434 comes from a variety of federal and state grants.
 
 
2010 Budget:
In 2010, the Community Development Division’s budget of $9.3 million came from a variety of federal and state grants.
 
Did You Know?
A new yard is being landscaped to improve a neighborhood.In 2011, the Community Development Division will utilize multiple grant programs to create jobs and eliminate blight within Duval County.
