Waterfront Management and Programming

This division operates nature preserves and public land that is environmentally sensitive and culturally significant, offers environmental education programs and restores and maintains fragile ecosystems. It also acquires new land for preservation throughout the county. This division has three employees.
 
Recently, the division celebrated improvements, including the construction of a new pier, to the Reddie Point Preserve, and construction of a pavilion, restroom, boardwalk and overlook area at the Betz-Tiger Point Preserve is now underway. Additional construction plans for the year include building new restrooms at the Imeson Road Trailhead and Harborview Boat Ramp and a water taxi station at the Alimacani Boat Ramp.  Public safety and wildlife resource protection improvements will continue at Huguenot Memorial Park.
