Mayor Curry speaks at the annual meeting of the Jacksonville University Public Policy Institute Board of AdvisorsDear Citizens,

One of my favorite quotes by Albert Einstein is, “never regard study as a duty, but as the enviable opportunity to learn.” Each day, I meet and talk with citizens throughout our city. I value these conversations as they afford me the unique opportunity to learn about the needs of Jacksonville citizens.

There are nearly 1 million people who live throughout our city, each with his or her own thoughts, experiences and challenges. While we won’t always agree on issues that confront us, our willingness to join together brings us that much closer to our mission of ‘One City. One Jacksonville.’

Throughout the year, I will host a series of meetings on topics that are of interest to our community. I invite citizens to help contribute to our mission by participating in a Community Conversation. During these meetings, we will explore opportunities to improve our city.

Each person has something of value to offer. Together, we will learn and contribute to a greater Jacksonville.

Sincerely,

Lenny Curry
Mayor
