The Jacksonville Landing
2 West Independent Drive
Jacksonville, Florida 32202
*Volunteers are asked to gather at the front steps off Independent Drive promptly at 8 a.m. for sign-in.
The city’s Keep Jacksonville Beautiful (KJB) Commission, along with Downtown Vision, Inc. and the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, are organizing the first Earth Day Downtown Cleanup. Residents and volunteers, along with support from local businesses, will pick up litter in the area bordered by Liberty, Water, Jefferson and Church streets. Gloves, bags and other cleanup supplies will be provided by KJB.
The volunteers will also survey downtown streets, buildings and lots for any graffiti or damage.

The event will be one of several in area that day celebrating Earth Day 2013.

Hyatt helped organize the event as a part of its global corporate responsibility platform, Hyatt Thrive, which is designed to help make communities places where Hyatt associates are proud to work, Hyatt guests want to visit, neighbors want to live and owners want to invest.
