Today, Mayor Donna Deegan presented her proposed 2023-2024 City of Jacksonville budget at a special meeting of the Jacksonville City Council. Pending City Council approval, the budget will take effect Oct. 1

Construction crews will begin work today to transform Riverfront Plaza into a centerpiece park with such features as a café with a destination playground on the roof.

In observance of the Fourth of July, the following City government offices and facilities will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. 

The City of Jacksonville and Keep Jacksonville Beautiful will partner with Beaches Sea Turtle Patrol for the annual July 5^th Beaches Cleanup following the Independence Day holiday.

Jacksonville’s Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration will return this year at multiple locations around the city to celebrate our nation’s independence. At each location, the City of Jacksonville is offering a spectacular fireworks display.

This Memorial Day weekend The City of Jacksonville Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) will open 20 community pools beginning on Saturday, May 27th. Cecil Aquatics is open year-round. Outdoor pools will be open Saturday, May 27, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, May 28, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday, May 29, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
