City Announces 25th Annual World of Nations Celebration

The City of Jacksonville invites residents and visitors to Metropolitan Park (1410 Gator Bowl Blvd. - 32202) to join in the 25th Annual World of Nations Celebration. The event offers visitors the opportunity to explore 30 countries in a single visit without leaving Jacksonville.
The event will kick off on Friday, Mar. 3 from 6 -11 p.m. with Rock the Globe – A Global Dance Party presented by iHeart Radio. The evening will feature a performance by GRAMMY Award-winning artist Shaggy. Additional performers include Skinny Fabulous, The Katz Downstairs, De Lions of Jah, Special Formula Band, DJ Kulanji, and Ponder the Albatross. The Rock the Globe concert is open to adults 21 years-of-age and older only. Tickets, which can be purchased at RockTheGlobeJax.com, are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate.
 
The event will be open to the public (all ages) on Saturday, Mar. 4, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Sunday, Mar. 5, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. During this time, patrons will be able to experience the sights, sounds, tastes and traditions of 30 countries. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the World of Nations Celebration, there will be a fireworks show on Saturday, Mar. 4 at 6:45 p.m. Admission is $5 and tickets can be purchased online at JaxWorldofNations.com.
 
Countries participating in the World of Nations Celebration include: the Bahamas, Cambodia, China, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, First Nations (Native North America), Ghana, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, Nigeria, Palestine, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Spain, St. Lucia, Syria, Taiwan, Trinidad & Tobago, Turkey, U.S.A., Venezuela, and Vietnam.
