To continue the momentum following JAXSPORTS Council’s announcement that Jacksonville has submitted a bid to host the CrossFit Games for 2017-19, Mayor Lenny Curry joined JAXSPORTS and CrossFit box owners and supporters in a viral campaign to showcase the city’s support to CrossFit Headquarters.
For the next two weeks, CrossFit boxes will be incorporating burpees into daily workouts and sharing their efforts on social media using the hashtag #Burpees4theBid. The Jacksonville community is encouraged to participate as well by posting videos and pictures of their burpees on social media with the hashtag and challenging their friends and families to also participate.
Mayor Curry helped add to the burpee count Wednesday morning by participating in #Burpee4theBid efforts at Crucible CrossFit in San Marco.
