Anecia: I am a Marketing Intern for Friends of Hemming Park. I help the marketing team perform everyday tasks. I do a lot of data collecting and data entry. This is a very valuable experience

COJ: How is this summer job helping you achieve your goals?

Anecia: This summer job was very helpful. I’ve learned new skills to use in future jobs like data entry and obtaining survey information from people in the park. My job has also helped me with time management, organization and my communication skills.

COJ: Where do you see yourself in ten years?

Anecia: In ten years, I would like to start my own business. I would like to get my degree in Business Administration first. Before opening my hair salon, I’m going to work on perfecting my craft.

COJ: What would you tell Mayor Lenny Curry about your experiences in the Summer Jobs Program?

Anecia: I would tell the mayor it was a great learning experience. Not only did I learn new skills but I met amazing people. I gained so much knowledge from my bosses this summer. I’m grateful for having Friends of Hemming Park as my first job.
