Remember the Time [Capsule]

In 2018, a time capsule left by City leaders in 1960 was discovered by pre-demolition crews in the cornerstone of the old City Hall annex on Bay Street.
For examination and preservation services, the contents were sent to the Jacksonville Main Public Library, where they are currently on display. Residents and visitors are invited to visit the library’s Special Collections Department (303 N. Laura St. – 32202, fourth floor) now through March 31 to get close to history.
