Winn-Dixie Opens Newest Store in Jacksonville

On Feb. 4, Mayor Lenny Curry helped Winn-Dixie cut the ribbon at their newest store located on Baymeadows Road near Interstate 295. The store represents a new concept for the company, with a new look and an increased focus on fresh, quality food offerings.
In his remarks at the ribbon cutting, Mayor Curry talked about the proud heritage Winn-Dixie has in Jacksonville since moving their company headquarters here in 1944. The new store builds on that proud legacy and is a symbol of the city’s continued economic momentum. The company operates 376 stores in Florida.
