Special Magistrate Hearings

The Municipal Code Enforcement Board is presided over by a Special Magistrate. The Municipal Code Enforcement Board / Special Magistrate enforces property, maintenance, safety and zoning codes found in the Jacksonville Ordinance Code Chapter 307, Chapter 320, Chapter 326, Chapter 342, Chapter 518, Chapter 656, Chapter 741 and Chapter 745. The Municipal Code Enforcement Board/Special Magistrate shall have the power to issue orders having the force and effect of law to command whatever steps are necessary to bring a violation into compliance.
Meeting Dates & Location: This Board meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m.. in Conference Room 851, Edward Ball Building, 214 North Hogan Street. (Meeting times and locations are subject to change).
