Special Events for Seniors
The Special Events for Seniors Office enables Jacksonville's seniors to enjoy cultural, educational, social and recreational events and to be recognized as valued members of the community. Individuals 60 and over are encouraged to participate and all events require an RSVP or ticket for admission. Safety & Security Seminar for Seniors
March 21 & October 18, 2024
Duval County Extension Office
The safety seminar informs senior citizens about how to be safe and secure and plan for the future. Seniors actively participate and learn how to protect themselves and hear from public safety officials on local safety matters.
March's seminar will focus on financial safety and preventing healthcare fraud. Register today by calling 904-255-5667 or emailing Adultsvcs@coj.net.
Fish-A-Thon

Hanna Park
Seniors enjoy a day of fishing, dancing and dining at Hanna Park. Fishing tournament awards are given for largest fish, smallest fish, most fish, prettiest fish and ugliest fish. This event also includes lawn games, a picnic table decorating contest, and a live DJ and dance floor. To make a reservation, call (904) 255-5667.

Seniors enjoy a scenic walk while celebrating their fitness and health! Attendees participate in healthy, active programs such as stretching and dancing before the walk. Registered participants will receive senior swag along with free lunch!
