Council Member Samuel Newby was on hand for the announcement that funding has been secured for the Eureka Gardens Playground Project.

Wayman Ministries began a fundraising campaign in August 2015 in an effort to build an on-site playground in Eureka Gardens for the approximately 1,000 children that live in the apartment complex.  It was announced at a press conference, held at the Spirit of Life Center, that the Jacksonville Auto Dealers Association and attorney Steve Pajcic have donated a combined $70,000 to build the playgournd.
