The Centurion Surgery Center will be the area's largest freestanding multispecialty surgery center (54,000 total square footage.) The surgery center aims to drive down the costs of healthcare by safely perfoming complex procedures in an outpatient setting.

Council Member Al Ferraro held a Community Meeting at Sheffield Park to discuss 2020-661 an application for Planned Unit Development that seeks to rezone approximately 10.36 acres
of land from Residential Rural-Acre (RR-Acre) to PUD. The rezoning to a PUD is being sought to allow for up to 17 single family lots. During the meeting lot size, buffering, drainage and combined driveways were discussed.

Council Member Al Ferraro joined local residents at the grand opening of the Bogey Creek Preserve. The Preserve is the first public park opened by the North Florida Land Trust and consists of 75 acres of maritime hammock forest, seep-fed cypress swamps and mixed pine forest. It neighbors Pumpkin Hill Creek and Timucuan Ecological Preserve; and is open to the public seven days a week from sunrise to sunset.
