Notice is hereby given that the Honorable Scott B. Wilson, President of the Jacksonville City Council hereby calls a Special Meeting of the Jacksonville City Council. In accordance with the provisions of Section 674.206, Ordinance Code, the Honorable Lenny Curry, Mayor- City of Jacksonville has requested that the Jacksonville City Council convene in a Special Meeting. Mayor Curry will address the Council on Declarations of Emergency due to Hurricane Dorian (City of Jacksonville Emergency Executive Proclamation 19—001); and the State of Florida Executive Order). The meeting will convene on Monday, September 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., Council Chamber located at 117 West Duval Street, 1st Floor City Hall St. James Building, Jacksonville, Florida 32202.
The Honorable Lenny Curry, Mayor City of Jacksonville will report to the Council on the status of the Hurricane Dorian to provide facts and circumstances concerning the disaster potential and his recommendations in connection therewith. Also, providing the statutorily required steps for activation of the City of Jacksonville’s Declaration – Emergency Proclamation and the State of Preparedness Procedures pertaining to Hurricane Dorian.
