Notice is hereby given that Council Member Matt Carlucci (At-Large, Group 4), Council Member Randy DeFoor (District 14), Council Member Brenda Priestly Jackson (District10), and Council Member Randy White (District 12) will co-host a Town Hall meeting on Monday, January 31, 2022, at 6:45 pm at the West Branch Library located at 1425 Chaffee Rd. S., 32221, to discuss solid waste services.
Since the suspension of curbside recycling services beginning October 4, 2021, a satisfactory result has not yet been achieved in the collection of yard waste or recyclables. Because our city deserves better, additional conversation concerning the state of Jacksonville’s solid waste services are necessary to move toward solutions. The goal of this open-to-the-public meeting is to share information, receive feedback, set expectations, and discuss the restoration of recycling. Council members, representatives of our contracted haulers, and members of the Administration are invited to attend. The meeting will include a time for public comment.
Due to COVID-19, masks are recommended, and social distancing will be in place.
