In accordance with Council Rule 2.103 (a), as President of the Jacksonville City Council I hereby appoint a The Special Committee on Downtown Development.


Background

  • As a result of the Lot J discussions, it has become increasingly clear that the City Council should be directly involved with the development of Downtown Jacksonville. This will be just one step in the direction of the city of Jacksonville reaching its fullest potential.

Charge

  • Seek opportunities to improve Downtown Jacksonville for the benefit of current and future residents, business owners, employees and visitors.
