To commemorate the 450th anniversary of Huguenot Captain Jean Ribault's arrival here on the First Coast, the City of Jacksonville is asking for area churches and vessels up and down the St. Johns River to ring their bells and sound their horns on May 1, 2012 at noon.
Area churches are asked to ring their church bells on May 1, 2012 at noon for 4.5 minutes. Participating churches are asked to fill out this registration form.
Vessels up and down the St. Johns River are being asked to sound their horns for 45 seconds on May 1, 2012 at noon. Participating vessels are asked to fill out this registration form.
