Total Members:  9 members appointed by the Mayor and 1 non-voting Council Member Liaison appointed annually by the Council President: Medical Professional, Program Treatment, Medical Professional, Emergency Department, Mental Health Professional, Addiction Treatment Provider, Certified Recovery Peer Specialist or Certified Recovery Support Specialist, Member from a Veteran Services Organization, Member from the Health Department, Member from a Homeless Advocacy Organization, Member from Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office or Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department  

Committee Duties: The purpose of this committee is to make recommendations on treatment and funding levels for funding opioid programs not otherwise funded by City. The committee will review and assess the annual needs of the City as to opioid addiction; Recommend programs for award of grants; Participate in on-site evaluations of recipient programs; Attend meetings related to ethics, public records and open meetings laws; Recommend awards and the allocation of annual lump sum appropriations
