The Jacksonville Fire/Rescue Department serves about 900,000 residents in an area covering 840 square miles. The department employs approximately 1,400 personnel.
JFRD's budget for Fiscal Year 2018 is $217 million.

JFRD has 58 fire stations, 54 engine companies, 49 full-time rescue units, and 13 ladder trucks.
JFRD responded to 155,349 calls for service in 2017. Of those, nearly 85,000 calls included patient transport to area hospitals.
