The month of July has provided our community with a typical 'summer Florida weather pattern' and, with it for the JFRD, a typical response scenario: afternoon storms, each and every day, incorporating lightning strikes and corresponding house fires. The good news is that in each and every case no injuries have been reported from these incidents and, in virtually every response, the dispatched crews arrived on scene and were able to lesson the magnitude of the damage. Let's hope this trend of successful mitigation will continue throughout the 'dog days of summer!'
