Free Legal Counseling For Veterans

The City of Jacksonville Military Affairs and Veterans Department, in coordination with Three Rivers Legal Services, Inc. (TRLS) and Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps, will host its free monthly legal consultation for veterans and their families.
 
Three Rivers Legal Services provides assistance with family Law (limited), social security/SSI, discharge review assistance, VA pensions, guardianship for disabled, unfair collections, last will and testament, and various other civil legal services.

The City of Jacksonville Military Affairs and Veterans Department and Three Rivers Legal Services are dedicated to helping veterans and their families with their legal needs. If you would like to be considered for further assistance, applications for representation will be available.

Veterans Legal Collaborative (VLC) Brief Counsel And Advice For Veterans

Licensed attorneys will be available to speak one-to-one with Veterans in 20-minute interviews. All veterans are encouraged to bring legal questions in any area of law and to bring any relevant documents pertaining to their matters. Veterans sign up to speak individually with Florida licensed attorneys. Veterans sign up anytime between 11:30 and 1:00 and are encouraged to come early. Services beyond legal consultation are subject to income guidelines. An income-qualifying Veteran may request that his/her legal matter be considered for full legal representation. Information on additional free and low-cost legal services is provided.

Operation New Uniform Graduation is an informal morning where our ONU veterans share their experiences from the program. Our guests, often successfully transitioned veterans and professionals committed to the success of veterans, join our ONU graduates as they discuss the experiences they have had, challenges they have overcome, and what they are doing now.

This is a great opportunity to connect with others in the community as well as see if graduates would be a good fit for any opportunities available in your company. Guests are invited to arrive early to enjoy a complimentary breakfast courtesy of Waffle House.

The Elizabeth Dole Foundation is partnering with Prudential to host a free financial wellness seminar for military and veteran caregivers, and their veterans of course, in the Jacksonville community. The seminar will take place on April 4 from 6-8pm EST at the Jacksonville Wounded Warrior Project office. Dinner will be provided. 

Korean War Conference: Remembering Our Nation's Forgotten Heroes

The University of North Florida Military Veterans Resource Center and Community Hospice Veterans Partnership present Remembering Our Nation's Forgotten Heroes, a Korean War Conference. There will be breakfast and a free conference. The program will include:
