The City of Jacksonville Military Affairs and Veterans Department in partnership with the Jacksonville Public Library will be at the Charles Webb Wesconnett Library on the second Tuesday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Veterans can come speak with a Veteran Service Officer (VSO) at this local library with no appointment necessary!

Join the City of Jacksonville as we honor true American heroes - our veterans and active-duty military.
This patriotic parade features more than 4,000 participants including grand marshals, senior military officials, active-duty and retired military, veterans groups, local high school marching bands, decorative floats, giant balloons, JROTC units and more!

The 8th Annual Salute to Veterans 5K will be held on Sunday, November 10th. The event honors Veterans and benefits the Jacksonville Historic Naval Ship Association (JHNSA)  and K9s for Warriors. There will also be a 1 Mile Fun Run and a Patriotic Paws Parade at 9:00 A.M.

There will be a Veterans Day Commemoration Ceremony at Old City Cemetery on Sunday, November 10th.

The Stars & Stripes Veteran's Day Gala benefiting Got Your 6 Female Veteran Support Services will be on Saturday, November 9th at the Lexington Hotel & Conference Center. Tickets are $50 and are available on Eventbrite and Universe. Formal attire required.

The Wounded Warrior Project Carry Forward 5K will be on Saturday, November 9th at the Wounded Warrior Project Headquarters. Veterans carry the hopes and dreams of our nation on their shoulders. They always have. Wounded Warrior Project^® Carry Forward™, delivered by CSX^®, is a new 5K fitness challenge and fundraiser that unites us for one day for one purpose: to honor and support wounded warriors and their families.

This is an opportunity for Human Resource Professional interested in improving and increasing their hiring of military employees. This is event is open to employers only.
