COVID-19 PROCEDURES
Including change in meeting location and other processes
The City of Jacksonville is complying with CDC guidelines for its public buildings. The Ed Ball Building is operating at limited capacity and social distancing measures will be in place. Until further notice or unless otherwise specifically noticed, meetings of the JEPB will be conducted in Room 110 of the Ed Ball Building. All seats in Room 110 will be marked to ensure safe spacing between individuals. Overflow seating may be made available in other rooms within the building and citizens may be asked to rotate into and out of Room 110 to speak at any public meeting. All visitors to the Ed Ball Building are required to wear a mask to enter the building and are asked to keep them on once inside the building; masks will be provided for anyone who does not have a mask, and pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, reasonable accommodations may be available for individuals who are unable to wear a mask, as determined on a case by case basis.
Upon entry to the Ed Ball Building, all visitors must submit to the following screening procedures:
-
The designated public entry is located on the Hogan Street side of the building
-
answer questions on the Screening Form provided at the screening desk
-
have their temperature taken with a contactless infrared thermometer
Once inside the building, visitors will be directed to the appropriate meeting location. Prior to public entry:
-
The room will be arranged so all JEPB members and staff are separated by 6 feet.
-
Using the 6-foot separation we will determine how many seats are available for the public.
-
Overflow room(s) will be setup with the same 6-foot chair separation.
-
Staff will be positioned outside the room filling out speaker cards for each person attending. They will then be directed to one of the rooms. Hand sanitizer will be available in the rooms.
-
If there is a need to rotate public in for comments, all chairs and surfaces will be wiped down before seating.
