Volunteers Needed. Participants 18 years or older, unless accompanied by an adult, are invited to join community leaders and citizens in a coastal cleanup, hosted near various waterway locations throughout the city. Gloves, bags and materials will be provided by site captains. Service hour certificates are also available to students. Pre-registration is not required but encouraged. Safety tips: Wear sturdy, closed toe footwear. Wear sun protection and gloved. Be alert for slippery wet surfaces. Do not climb on rocks or get into water. Avoid overexertion and bring water to stay hydrated. Wear safety vests or bright colors along roadsides. Do not handle or remove hazardous items or substances.
