Portions of the City of Jacksonville's Intracoastal Waterway Boat Ramp at 2501 Second Ave. in Jacksonville Beach will be closed for repairs beginning today.
Repairs will be conducted in such a way that one ramp remains open for use on the weekends during the construction. However, both ramps may be periodically closed on the weekdays. Construction is expected to be complete by the first week of April.
The facility consists of two ramps and three floating docks. The aging floating docks will be replaced at a cost of $189,103, which will be supported by a Florida Inland Navigation Grant (FIND).
Other nearby City of Jacksonville boat ramps include Oak Harbor at 2428 Seaway St., and Mayport, at 4870 Ocean St.
