Jacksonville's Animal Care and Protective Services (ACPS)

provides animal control to the citizens in Jacksonville by fair enforcement and community education.

Due to COVID-19 our shelter is closed to the public.

City's Animal Shelter Receives Funding From PetSmart Charities To Help People And Pets Stay Together June 20, 2019

Animal Care and Protective Services (ACPS) wants to keep pets with their owners using a $50,000 grant from PetSmart Charities®, the leading funder of animal welfare in North America.


Jacksonville Hosts "Kitty Hall" Adoption Event June 19, 2019

The ACPS Kitty Hall adoption event was a great success today. 7 kittens found forever homes, including 2 going home with our own WJXT4 Nikki Kimbleton - If you missed the event today, the ACPS is open most nights until 7:00 PM.
