Let's Move! JacksonvilleIn 2013, the City of Jacksonville joined cities and towns across the country in efforts to address childhood obesity by signing up for the Let’s Move! Cities, Towns and Counties initiative (LMCTC).

As a participating LMCTC city, Jacksonville joins in committing to the promotion and achievement of five actionable goals to help reverse the childhood obesity epidemic:
  • Goal I: Start Early, Start Smart
  • Goal II: MyPlate, Your Place
  • Goal III: Smart Servings for Students
  • Goal IV: Model Food Service
  • Goal V: Active Kids at Play
Jacksonville is rich with activities and initiatives that support healthy living, work to combat childhood obesity, and promote opportunities for active play. Being an active participant in the Let’s Move! Cities Towns and Counties initiative, we can better capture and document success.
