The Mayor’s Community Crime Reduction Program and the New Town Success Zone addressed food insecurity and women’s health at their grocery giveaway and Breast Cancer Awareness Community Impact Day!

20 volunteers distributed 10,103 pounds of provisions to 197 residents.  8 community partners conducted complimentary wellness checkups and delivered health care materials.
Aetna provided- Medicare Advantage information to Senior Citizens
Hubbard House provided – Resources for domestic violence survivors in urban/rural communities
Feeding Homeless Vets provided – Unsheltered Veterans with food assistance programs 
Harriet Tubman Freedom Fighters provided - Voter Registration and education 
Florida Department of Health Duval County provided – Immunizations and health literacy
Florida Blue provided – Breast Cancer health care resources and education  
UF Health provided – Breast Cancer education & wellness information
