Feeding Northeast Florida Delivery

The New Town Success Zone, Feeding Northeast Florida, and The Mayor’s Community Based Crime Reduction Program hosted another successful health-focused event in honor of National Nutrition Month.

May 06, 2022
Residents received a double dose of care in March during the free medical clinic and drive thru grocery giveaway.
37 compassionate volunteers gave away 6,983 pounds of food to 487 deserving citizens. Regularly scheduled nutrient-rich food distributions in resource deserts such as New Town, encourages civilians to follow a proper diet and make healthier choices for themselves and their families. Additionally, meeting the fundamental need such as providing groceries directly decreases individuals’ desire to commit theft or violent crime in desperate attempts to feed their families. We are grateful to our community partners and volunteers for their unwavering support with alleviating hunger and uplifting the community.
