According to the Center for Disease Control April is observed to underscore the importance of improving health outcomes for racial and ethnic minority groups.
In partnership with The Mayor’s Community Based Crime Reduction Program and Feeding Northeast Florida, The New Town Success Zone hosted a well-attended food distribution and resource health fair. 26 volunteers distributed 4,912 pounds of food to 342 residents. Citizens also received a plethora of critical health screenings, nutritional guides, medical counsel, fair housing opportunities, and information about additional wrap around services offered throughout the City of Jacksonville.
