Conversation with Councilwoman Ju'Coby Pittman

November 26, 2019
As Jacksonville prepares for the Thanksgiving holiday, I met with Councilwoman and CEO/president of the Clara White Mission, Ju'Coby Pittman, to film the third in a series of interviews with interesting citizens of Jacksonville.
We discussed everything from cooking to community service, including the important work done everyday by the staff and volunteers at the Clara White Mission serving our homeless, veteran and ex-offender populations in need. The Mission has been a critical part of the Jacksonville community for over 116 years.

Councilwoman Pittman has been a change maker in our community for more than 30 years and currently serves on the Jacksonville City Council serving District 8. In addition to these roles, the Councilwoman has been an active member of the community, volunteering her time on the boards of the Cummer Musuem, Ritz Theatre & LaVilla Museum and more.

As mayor, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our citizens alongside great leaders like Councilwoman Pittman and her City Council colleagues.
