Sam Mousa was appointment to serve as Chief Administrative Officer to Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry on June 17, 2015.
 
Sam has more than 40 years of executive management and engineering experience in both the public and private sectors. Prior to his most recent mayoral appointment, Sam served as Executive Vice President with J.B. Coxwell Contracting, Inc., and Managing Principal with JBC Planning & Engineering, LLC.
 
Prior to his tenure with the Coxwell companies, Sam enjoyed a 16-year prestigious career as a public servant, culminating in his Mayoral appointment as Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Jacksonville, for Mayor John Delaney. As Chief Administrative Officer, Sam is responsible for the daily management and operations of all City government. He previously served the City as Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, Director of Public Works, and as a City Engineer. Sam has served the City as an appointed official under 5 different mayoral administrations.
 
Sam is also a licensed professional engineer in the state of Florida, and he is a graduate of the University of Florida.
