Celebrating Independence Day Downtown on the St. Johns River

July 02, 2013
Join the City of Jacksonville and Walmart in celebrating our nation’s independence at the annual 4th of July Celebration. Activities kick off at 4 p.m. with live entertainment at The Jacksonville Landing and fun, family-friendly activities on the Northbank near the Landing and Southbank at Friendship Fountain. The events will culminate in a spectacular fireworks display over the Downtown riverfront. The show will begin at 9:45 p.m.

The fireworks can be viewed from both the Northbank and Southbank of the St. Johns River. Fireworks will be launched from barges near The Jacksonville Landing and the Hyatt Jacksonville Regency Riverfront.

Several Downtown city parking garages and lots will be open and charge a small fee per vehicle. Boaters can dock on the Northbank, Southbank and the Metropolitan Park Marina for a maximum of 72 hours in areas not marked as closed to view the fireworks. Docking will be on a first-come, first-served basis, so boaters are encouraged to arrive early and show their patriotic spirit. Jacksonville’s S.S. Marine Taxi and JTA Skyway will also provide transportation services.

Please Note: 4th of July Celebration Activities will take place rain or shine.
